Princess Bride - dementia friendly screening

One of the most beloved films of the 1980s, Rob Reiner’s swashbuckling fairytale remains a nostalgic, hilarious and action-packed delight. Cruelly separated from her true love Westley (Cary Elwes), Buttercup (Robin Wright) reluctantly agrees to marry loathsome Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon). But when Westley returns, the two embark on an epic adventure filled with fencing, fighting, giants, monsters, miracles, and true love.

Featuring an all-star cast, including Mandy Patinkin, Billy Crystal and Christopher Guest, The Princess Bride is a rapturously enjoyable treat on the big screen, powered by superb performances and the inimitable humour of its creators William Goldman, Mel Brooks, and Rob Reiner.

Please note that this is a Dementia friendly screening, meaning the house lights will be slightly raised throughout to provide a more relaxed and comfortable setting. Everyone is welcome to attend this screening, but we ask that you are mindful of the context and understand that people may need to regularly leave and return to the screening.
