"A love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th century French city", Wes Anderson’s exquisitely designed, highly idiosyncratic creation brings together an all-star cast, stunning visuals and a buoyant wit to illustrate a collection of tales published in the final issue of the French Dispatch, based in the fictional French city of Ennui-sur-Blasé. Inspired by Anderson's love of The New Yorker, some characters and events in the film are based on real-life equivalents from the magazine, both riffing off it and paying tribute to its intensively sourced, wide-ranging and esoteric journalism. Featuring Bill Murray, Timothée Chalamet, Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand... and many more.
